Hi All

   Application has lot of running process - hence usage is high and blocking all active processes now.

   We are working further to kill inactive process and reduce the infra usage - we'll keep posted with updates.

  Application team also verified that infra usage has become normal and no more long running or multiple queries running.

Hi All

   Slowness issue specifically happening on month-end wherein lot of queries run and occupy infra and doesn't allow new queries to come and process.

   Alan (Chief Architect) will work with Patika vendor to see why it occurs and how it can be streamlined without affecting existing process during the same time in production and help to completely resolve the same.

   Currently IND site users not able to launch Oracle forms while connecting outside VPN.

   Application team working with relevant infra and IT Support teams to check the issue.

Hi All

   MX users are able launch application without any issues in support or PROD instance.

   IND users are alone facing the issue while connecting outside VPN.

   Networks have done checks at their side and could see application connections are going through without any issues.

  Currently bringing Oracle vendor for this issue (Sev-1) being raised for the same.

Hi All

   IND site users are able to launch Oracle Forms from factory network itself without any issues.

 Infra teams checked and confirmed no changes/update done at their side.

Application team checking with Oracle vendor for RCA as why this intermediate disconnect has happened and how to prevent in future.

Issue stands as closed and no more further updates would be rolled out.

Hi All,

    Currently there is known issue in Microsoft Edge while downloading the reports in Oracle EBS.

    Recent update rollout from Microsoft is causing this issue.

    Please use Chrome browser until the issue has been sorted out.

Site users and teams are reporting slowness in QMS App impacting their critical month-end processing.

Information is not captured in both web and app and thus causing issues.

IT team is investigating with priority.

Stale sessions in QMS database were killed and application infra's are back to normal.

IT checked from their end and could see all are working fine.

Users are currently checking and will confirm on the same.

QMS infra is back to normal and all stale sessions are killed and no longer running.

IT checked and confirmed all processing happening in QMS Web Portal.

Users also using QMS App in tablet and doing their normal processing.

Oracle vendor has reported threat for customers in E-business suite environment and extort funds. This specific event threat is only related to EBS environments deployed both on prem and cloud.

So, Oracle E-Business product team has issued a critical Severity Alert, advising customers to patch their system immediately and be diligent of abnormal and malicious activity in their E-Business ecosystem.

Currently DBA team has done patching in non-prod environment and testing is going on - also discussions are being done with security team to confirm on appropriate timing in production as it involves downtime.

Testing has been completed and no issues has been observed in non-prod.

It has been decided to proceed with this critical security threat patching in PROD around 7 PM Arizona time (19 MST).

We'll update once patching has been started and subsequent progress have been made.

QMS Application is slow and not responding blocking users daily and critical operations.

IT team is investigating and found DB is in heavy load with lot of long running sessions which needs further investigation and recovery.

QMS App is back to normal and working as BAU - IT team worked upon killing all long running sessions and restore the database performance to normal.

QMS Database is fully utilized and reached 100% - currently IT is checking for queries which are long running and trying to kill those to retain database performance.

QMS App/UI loading fine without any issues - able to access and work on it promptly.

IT has killed all the long running select queries in QMS DB to regain back its performance.

Incident is marked as resolved and no more further commns would be sent out.

Hi All

Due to recent Windows OS update,  Java has been uninstalled and because of it Oracle forms not able to launch. 

IT Helpdesk has provided below steps to resolve the issue - please make a note of it and quickly fix from your end.

For users with Java issues, please restart their PC then right click to open the Endpoint central icon (the TPI icon) by the clock on their desktop and select "Self Service Portal". There is an installer for Java that should put the app and any missing files back. 

If issue still didn't get fixed, please work with your corresponding local IT team to get Java installed and have Oracle forms launched properly.

QMS App issue reported - users are unable to visualize evidence in Production.

Photo download also not available in QMS Web.

TPI IT teams are checking with priority.

All sites are reporting same issues and not able to progress.

TPI IT checked in UAT/non-prod and could see images are able to be viewed and visualize defects/repairs.

Further analysis being done to see if any changes in PROD.

Current investigation shows there is a permission issue within AWS to access the images and publish the same.

IT Teams are further working to fix the same at the earliest.

IT team identified the issue and fixed the issue - users also confirmed all working fine now.

RCA: One of the keys of the root users in AWS got expired over the weekend, this key is used to provide access to image folder in another account in AWS. Since keys got expired, access lost and functionality of fetching and saving images got broken. IT team redefined new keys and restarted the application and started to work thereupon. 

Issue is marked as closed and no more further updates will be rolled out.

One of the keys of the root users in AWS got expired over the weekend, this key is used to provide access to image folder in another account in AWS. Since keys got expired, access lost and functionality of fetching and saving images got broken. IT team redefined new keys and restarted the application and started to work thereupon. 

Still the access to S3 wasn't resolved and uploading of images didn't work properly. Upon checking further, service account used by service wasn't having proper permissions to retrieve and load the images, hence it was failing. Once required permission policy was enabled, uploading and saving of defects and images worked properly and got loaded into application successfully.

Application team working to implement alert to get notified about expiry of key setup and ensure to get renewed to avoid above issues in future.
